The plunger extends, but does not retain pressure

Possible cause
One or more of the seals inside the cylinder
leaks.
The connected pump does not work.
One of the joints leaks.
The system is not arranged correctly.

Oil leaks from the plunger

Possible cause
One or more of the seals inside the cylinder is
worn or damaged.
The cylinder is damaged internally.
The couplers are not connected correctly.

The plunger does not return, or returns more slowly than
usual

Possible cause
The pressure relief valve on the pump is closed.
The couplers are not connected correctly.
The oil reservoir is full.
An undersize hose restricts the oil flow.
The return spring is weak or broken.
The cylinder is damaged internally.
The air pressure return system does not contain
enough air.
HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS
Solution
Have the cylinder repaired by a Holmatro
Certified Technician.
Inspect the pump.
Have the cylinder repaired by a Holmatro
Certified Technician.
Re-arrange the system. Make sure that all
components are specified for the load.
Solution
Have the cylinder repaired by a Holmatro

Correctly connect the couplers.

Open the pressure relief valve on the pump.
