Engine inspections
■
Check the lubricating oil level with the appropriate
plug (3) equipped with a dipstick (fi ll with oil if it is not
enough);
■
Check if the engine air fi lter (4) is present and inspect its
conditions;
WARNING!
To avoid serious damages to the engine, never
activate it without oil, with an insuffi cient quantity of
oil or without the air fi lter.
For inspection, oil change and air fi lter replacement
operations, refer to the engine manual supplied with the
vacuum cleaner.
Fuel fi lling
■
With the engine off and on a fl at surface, remove the fuel
tank plug (5) and check the fuel level. If the level is low,
top up the tank;
■
Fill the tank leaving 25 mm from the upper limit to allow
the expansion of the fuel;
■
At the end of the fuel fi lling operation, close the tank plug
fi rmly;
■
Before starting the engine, remove any spilled fuel;
Only use unleaded gasoline for cars.
WARNING!
Gasoline is extremely fl ammable and may even
explode. Fill with fuel in a well ventilated area and
with the engine off. During fuel fi lling operation, avoid
smoking and keep fl ames or sparks away from the
engine.
WARNING!
When fi lling up, be careful not to spill the fuel from
the tank. If this happens, it is advisable to dry the part
carefully before switching on the engine again. The
spilled fuel or the vapours could fl ame up.
