this engine is installed. Learn to switch off the
engine quickly

TRANSPORT
Transport the engine only with empty fuel
tank
Always transport the engine with the spark
plug facing upwards to avoid:
Smoke development
Starting problems
Sooty spark plug
CHECKS BEFORE OPERATION
WARNING!
Always carry out a visual inspection be-
fore putting the appliance into operation.
The appliance must not be used with
loose, damaged or worn operating parts
or attachments.
Check the general condition of the engine
Check for signs or oil or petrol leaks on the
outside and underside of the engine
Check for signs of damage
Check that all nuts and bolts are securely
tightened
Check that all screens and covers are fitted

CAUTION!

Petrol is highly flammable.
Sparks are generated when the engine is
started; these can ignite flammable ba-
ses in the vicinity.
Flammable foreign matter such as dry
leaves, grass, etc. can ignite.
