Extremely tight-fitting rim locks
Impact the wheel lock hard before using the sockets!
Use the impact mandrel and a 2000 g hammer for this purpose
Recommendation: loosen all opposite wheel screws and then tighten them again with more torque
approx. 130 - 140 Nm), now jolt the wheel locks and strike on the sockets.
3-pin systems: The problem with rim locks with a 3-pin system is that the outer sheet metal ring
is rotatably mounted. The problem can be solved by removing, tilting or blocking the sheet metal
ring.
Smooth surface: In the case of rim locks with a smooth (slippery) surface, such as painted rim
locks, the socket should be slightly offset 2 to 3 times (as when centering) until the paint is
mechanically removed.
