Setting the Depth
Be certain spark plug wire is disconnected and grounded against the
engine when performing any adjustments.
Yoke Forward
Attach the wheel yoke so that the wheels are forward (nearest to tines) for shallow tilling,
cultivating and transport by removing the clevis pin and cotter pin. See Figure 13.
Yoke Back
Attach the wheel yoke so that the wheels are toward the rear (closest to depth stake)
for deep tilling and cultivating by removing the clevis pin and cotter pin. See Figure 14.

OPERATION
Depth Stake
The depth stake acts as a brake for the tiller and controls the depth and speed at
which the machine will operate. Remove the clevis pin and hairpin clip to raise or
lower the depth stake. See Figure 15.
Adjusting the Handle Height
The handle should be adjusted so that when the tiller is digging 3-4" into the soil, the
handle falls to about waste-high. To adjust handle, simply loosen the handle knob,
move the handle to the desired height and retighten the handle knob. See Figure 16.
