NOTE: This unit is shipped without gasoline or oil in the engine. Be certain to service
engine with gasoline and oil as instructed in the Operation section of this manual
before operating your machine.
NOTE: Reference to right and left hand side of the Tiller is observed from the
operating position.
Opening Carton
1.
Cut each corner of the carton vertically from top to bottom.
2.
Remove all loose parts.
3.
Remove loose packing material.
Removing Tiller From Carton
1.
Use the handlebar to lift and pull the tiller backwards to a flat area. Check
the carton thoroughly for loose parts.
2.
Be sure not to kink the forward clutch cable.

Attaching The Cable
1.
Identify the forward clutch cable (A). See Figure 1.

ASSEMBLY
2.
Hook the "Z" end of the forward clutch cable (A) into the forward tine
engagement lever. See Figure 2.
NOTE: Be sure not to kink the cable while attaching.
Attaching the Handle Assembly
1.
Remove the hex bolt and cupped washer from the right side of the frame.
Hold the cable guide bracket on the left side of frame as it will fall when the
bolt is removed. Step 1 in Figure 3.
2.
Insert the handle into the tiller frame. Step 2 in Figure 3.
3.
Insert the bolt through the cupped washer, frame, handle and into the cable
guide bracket (note the notch in the cable guide bracket goes over the flange
on the frame.) Step 3 in Figure 3.
