ATTENTION: An excessive load may damage the rotation
mechanism. Too much pressure on the rotation ports may
damage the cylinder and/or the die. A minimum pressure of
150 bar and a maximum of 180 bar for the rotation ports
causes the arm to stop if there is a mechanical obstacle,
without causing it any damage or ruining the die surface.
6.2 To mount the cylinders use bolts class 8.8 DIN 912.
Torque value: M12 - 84 Nm, M16 - 205 Nm,
M20 - 400 Nm. See page 19 for mounting flanges and
dimensions.
ATTENTION: Comply with the recommended
torque values. Always use a dynamometric
spanner.
6.3 Timing the cilinder
Before starting the cycle, check that:
a) The arm has completely retracted into the flange;
b) The reference notches of the arm and body are in
alignment;
c) The activation screw of the proximity micro switch, the
lowest one, is in the correct position. See drawing 5
page 20.
IMPORTANT: To check the rotation, always use
the proximity micro switch. THIS IS THE ONLY
WAY TO MAKE SURE THE ROTATION HAS
OCCURRED.
CHECK the hydraulic plan that must be strictly adhered to.
IMPORTANT: Purge the hydraulic system before
starting the machine. Air in the circuit causes
operational problems.
Advance and retract the cylinder several times
avoiding pressure build-up. Air removal is
complete when the cylinder motion is smooth.
ATTENTION: Release the pressure from port
"A" EXTENSION, because if it is under pressure,
the piston will not rotate.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

Maintenance is required when wear or leakage is noticed.
Periodically inspect all components to detect any problem
requiring service and maintenance. ENERPAC offers ready-
to-use spare parts kits for repair and/or replacements. See
pages 20-28 for parts lists. Contact ENERPAC.
• Regularly inspect all components to detect any problem
requiring maintenance and service. Replace damaged
parts immediately.
• Do not exceed oil temperature above 60 °C.
• Keep all hydraulic components clean.
• Periodically check the hydraulic system for loose
connections and leaks.
• Change hydraulic oil in your system as recommended in
the pump instruction sheet.
IMPORTANT: Hydraulic equipment must only be
serviced by a qualified hydraulic technician.
For repair service, contact the Authorized
ENERPAC Service Center in your area.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Only qualified hydraulic technicians should service the
pump and system components. The trouble-shooting table
8.1 is intended to be used as an aid in determining if a
problem exists.
