The machine described in this manual has been constructed in accordance with the Community Directive on machinery 2006/42/EC
(Machinery Directive) . The person in charge of the machine is responsible for compliance with the Community directive and the national laws in
force with regard to the working environment, for the purposes of the health and safety of operatives.

Caution!
The machine may only be used by the authorised operative.
Never carry out modifi cations, conversions or applications on the machine which might impair its safety.
Before starting up the machine, check that its operation does not put anyone in danger.
Never adopt any working procedure which may reduce the machine's stability.
When transporting the machine, make sure that it is fi rmly fi xed to the vehicle by means of the handlebar and an holding belt.
To lift the machine insert the holding belt under the chassis and fi x it on the handlebar

In addition to the regulations envisaged by the law in force, the person in charge of the machine must instruct the operatives on the
following points:
•
The fi xed and/or movable guards and protective devices must always be left in place, correctly secured and intact.
•
If these guards and protective devices are removed, disarmed or short-circuited for any reason, they must be restored to working
order before the machine is put into operation.
•
Only use the machine when it is in technically perfect condition, suitable for its intended use.
•
Use in accordance with its intended use also includes compliance with the instructions for use and maintenance, and with the
inspection and maintenance conditions.
•
Picking up fl ammable and/or toxic substances is forbidden.
•
Always stop operation of the machine if work has to be done on moving or hot parts.
•
Transporting people is absolutely forbidden.
•
The bonnet must only be opened with the motors stopped and the power supply cut off ; for battery-operated machines, remove
the start key, or for cable-operated machines remove the plug from the power socket.
Handling the machine in its packaging
The machine is delivered packaged on a pallet .
The weight and dimensions are stated in the "TECHNICAL FEATURES" section.
The forks of the fork-lift truck or pallet truck must be positioned so that the centre of the packaging is about in the centre of the forks. The package
must be handled with great care, avoiding knocks and not raising it too high.
Stacking packs is forbidden.
Instructions for unpacking the machine
The machine must be unpacked with great care and delicacy. First remove the staples which fi x the cardboard box to the pallet at its base, then lift
off the box. This reveals the machine, held in place by brackets on its chassis, which must be removed. At this point the machine must be brought
to ground level using a metal or wooden ramp.
These brackets should be kept for possible future transport.
Handling the machine without its packaging
After unpacking, the machine must be checked and the batteries must be fi tted if not already installed. If it has to be moved around after use, for
transport over short distances disconnect the battery cables and remove the brushes and squeegee; for transport over long distances, the machine
should be re-packed in its original box. Note that the machine can be moved by pushing over short distances.
