OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Congratulations on the purchase of a Roscoe Knee Scooter.
This medical device is designed to maximize mobility during
your recovery from foot, ankle or leg surgery or injury.
Please make sure you read all instructions and warnings
prior to attempting to assemble or operate this knee
scooter. Otherwise, injury or damage may result.
PLATFORM REMOVAL
1.
Remove knee scooter from box and remove all
packaging including zip ties, bubble wrap and plastic
on the wheels.
2.
Carefully place knee scooter upside down so wheels
are facing upwards.
3.
Place two hands on knee platform and pull up to
remove. If platform does not remove with slight effort,
continue to pull and twist the knee platform left to
right and repeat until platform becomes free.
4.
Once the seat has been removed, carefully place
the knee scooter on the ground so all four (4) wheels
are flat.
STEERING COLUMN SETUP
Remove all packaging including zip ties,
bubble wrap and plastic from the wheels
before use.
The steering column will be in a folded
position when unpacking it from the shipping
carton. This feature also makes storing and transporting the
scooter quick and convenient during everyday use.
1. To Raise the Steering Column
The quick release clamp
column has an added security pin to prevent it from
collapsing during use.
1.
Release the lever and swing it down and away from
the steering column.
2.
Push the lever to the left to disengage the pin.
3.
Lift the steering column until it's in the full upright
position. Now, release the lever to re-engage the
safety pin (the steering column will stand in the upright
position if the safety pin is engaged).
4.
Swing the lever back up and push it down so the end
of the lever is pointing towards the ground to lock the
steering column in the upright position.
To adjust the pressure on the lever, point the end of the
lever up and rotate the lever counter clockwise to loosen
and clockwise to tighten.
