Dispose of used engine oil in suitable
packaging at your local recycling station.
Air � lter
Clean the air � lter regularly (after every 50
hours of use). Press the two tabs at the top
of the air � lter cover (11) and remove the air
� lter cover.
Take the � lter element out.
Clean the � lter element in hot water and
mild detergent. Allow to dry fully. Drip a
few drops of clean engine oil (SAE30) onto
the � lter element and squeeze the excess
oil out of the � lter element before replacing
it. Wipe the inside of the � lter cover with a
damp cloth.
Maintenance of cables
Regularly lubricate the cables for the safety
control handle and clutch handle using acid-
free oil or lubricating spray.
Spark plug
Check the spark plug after every 10 hours of
operation.
Remove the spark plug cap (13) and unscrew
the spark plug. If the plug is very sooty, clean
or replace.
Use a feeler gauge to check that the spark
gap is 0.6-0.7 mm and adjust if necessary.
Note! Never unscrew the spark plug if the
engine is hot, as this may damage the thread.

Winter storage
Empty the fuel tank and start the engine to
remove any remaining fuel.
Loosen the slanting screw on the carburettor
using a spanner and allow the remaining
petrol to run into a small container.
Note! If you do not empty all the petrol from
the engine as described here, you may have
diffi culty starting the engine after it has been
in storage for the winter.
Remove the spark plug when the engine
has run dry and has cooled down. Get help
tipping the lawnmower backwards so that
the front wheels are lifted. Pour 20 ml of
engine oil into the spark plug opening, pull
the starter cord slowly to distribute the oil
and replace the spark plug.
