TIG AC WELDING
WAVE SHAPES
The MATRIX 250 AC/DC offers the possibility of
choosing between 3 different types of wave
shapes:
• SQUARE WAVE: highly arc stability; ideal for
all thickness, both narrow and medium.
ATTENTION: During pre-setting and welding, the
display indicates "peak" current.
• MIXED WAVE: ideal for narrow thickness and
vertical welding; it increases thermal arc control
and service life of electrode.
ATTENTION: During pre-setting and welding, the
display indicates "peak" current.
• SINE WAVE: guarantees a quieter and softer
arc: ideal for medium thickness and head-head
welding.
ATTENTION: The display shows the current
"RMS" value in pre-setting and welding.
ELECTRODE DIAMETER SELECTION
The MATRIX 250 AC/DC offer the possibility of
setting the diameter of the electrode being used
to achieve the best synergetic control over strik-
ing.
WELD CURRENT WAVE BALANCING AND FREQUENCY
• BALANCING: graduating the negative and
positive half wave of the electrode appropri-
ately increases the penetration of the welding
or cleanliness on the surface of the piece.
• FREQUENCY: adjust the wave frequency to
achieve arc concentration and reduce wear on
electrode.
