5.2.1 Flexible discharge tube with recirculation valve
For serial dispensing, the flexible discharge tubing for the bottle-top dispensers Dispensette® S and
Dispensette® S Organic can also be used (Accessories/spare parts, p. 82).
The specified accuracy and coefficient of variation of the instrument are only obtained for volumes >
2 ml and by gently approaching the upper and lower stops. The coil of the tubing can be stretched to a
maximum length of 800 mm. Before use, the tube must lie in regular loops and must not be twisted.
The operating exclusions for the respective instrument in use apply.
Assembly
Use only undamaged tubing
The tubing may not show any signs of damage (e.g, kinks). This must be checked care-
fully before each use.
> If aggressive liquids are to be dispensed, we recommend using a face shield in addi-
tion to the usual safety precautions.
> The bottle must be secured with a bottle holder.
> In order to avoid splashing reagent, always hold the dosing tube firmly, and insert it
into the holder provided after use.
> Rinse the tubing to clean it.
> Do not disassemble.

til the lower stop.

Wipe off the discharge tube against the inner wall of the
receiving vessel.

Seal the dispensing tube with the screw cap.
After using the piston, always press it down to the lower stop

Instruments with a recirculating valve should be set to
'Recirculate', and the valve lever pulled upwards to re-
