BEFORE EACH TRIP
Before Each Trip
NOTICE:
Pull the Head Handle out and away from the hitch. Verify that the Jaw opens and

closes freely.
NOTICE:
To prevent the Head assembly from separating from the Base assembly, be sure the
Spring Retaining Clips are properly installed onto the 1/2" Pull Pins before towing.
The Spring Retaining Clips can be easily seen through the sight holes in the top of
the Head assembly. To prevent separation of the Hitch from the Pucks, make sure the
Tee Pin Anchor Assemblies are properly installed and pinned.
Verify all Head Pull Pins are in place and the Spring Retaining Clips are installed.

Verify all four Tee Pin Anchor Assembly Handles are pinned/locked to the Leg

assembly.
4.
Re-tighten Tee Pin(s) Castle Nut(s) if required.
5.
Make sure all hitch components are properly lubricated.
NOTE:
After initial use (within 50 miles) or on long towing trips, the Tee Pin Castle Nut(s) may
require occasional re-tightening.
