PULL TEST
Pull Test
NOTICE:
Make sure no one is between the truck and trailer.
NOTICE:
Failure to keep wheels blocked and the landing gear fully deployed could result in
the trailer suddenly moving or falling. This could result in serious injury or vehicle
damage.
NOTICE:
If the trailer is not properly hitched, the trailer will separate from the hitch and the
truck will move forward leaving the trailer behind. If you followed all previous steps,
the trailer will not drop or fall.
NOTE:
Two people are recommended for this procedure.
1. Make sure the trailer jacks and/or landing gear are still deployed.
2. Make sure all trailer wheels are firmly blocked.
3. Apply the truck's parking brake.
4. Apply the trailer brakes.
5. Release the truck's parking brake.
6. Try to pull the trailer slowly forward with the truck.
• If the trailer is properly hitched, the wheel blocks and trailer brakes should keep
the truck from moving forward.
7. After successfully performing the pull test, fully retract the trailer jacks and/or
landing gear. Refer to your trailer's owner guide for additional information.
8. Close the tailgate.
9. Check and inspect all electrical circuits and lights for proper operation. Refer to
your trailer Owners Guide for additional information.
10. Remove and store all trailer wheel chocks.
