A tuner, a turntable and a cassette recorder can be utilized as the
audio sources connected to this amplifier. A second cassette
recorder can be connected for tape-to-tape recording or simulta-
neous recording in parallel.
Setting up and connection
Cooling
Install the unit in a place where it is not exposed to direct heat (e. g.
radiators).
Insure that the cooling fins on the component are not covered.
When installing in a bookshelf or cabinet insure that there is suffic-
ient space at the top and bottom to allow for circulation of cooling
air.
Record Player
A record player is connected to the socket
"PHONO" (left
channel "L" top, right channel "R" bottom).
If the phono connection lead is supplied with an additional ground
lead, it should be connected to the terminal
Tuner
A tuner is connected to the socket DÉI "TUNER" (left channel "L"
top, right channel "R" bottom).
Cassette recorder/tape recorder
A tape recorder or cassette recorder may be connected to sockets
"TAPE-1/PLAY" (for playback) and to sockets ® "TAPE-1/
REC" (for recording). Note that the sockets for the left (L) and right
(R) channels are separate.
A second tape
deck (cassette recorder) can be connected at the
TAPE 2 jack
( 2 0 ) , to re-record cassettes, for instance.
Note: If the plugs and the connection jacks do not match, your electronics
retailer will be able to supply you with an adapter.
Speaker connection
The speakers should have a power handling capacity of at least 40
watts music power or 30 watts nominal power and must have an
impedance value of 8 ohms

One of the wires on the speaker lead is marked by means of a dif-
ferent colour or by serrations on the insulation. This marked wire
must be connected to the red terminal marked +.
Setting up the speakers
The best stereo effect is obtained if the two speakers form an isos-
celes triangle together with the listener and if the speakers are
placed approximately at the level of the listener's ears.
@ Before switching
on the unit for the first time please set the
volume control
to a low value.
@ Connect the mains lead to an AC 220 V outlet.
