INSTALLATION
A short power cable is provided to reduce the entanglement or tripping hazards associated with
a long cable. Extension cables can be used, provided that they are used with great care. If an
extension cord is used, the electrical rating of the detachable power cable or extension cable shall
be at least equal to that of the appliance. The extension must have an earthed 3-wire cable. The
extension cable shall be arranged so that it does not hang from the worktop or table as it could be
pulled by children or pose a tripping hazard.
USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. Remove the packaging material and detach any stickers.
2. When using the product for the first time, clean it as described in the "Cleaning and
maintenance" paragraph.
3. Connect the power base to a power socket.
4. fill the hopper with tap water to the Max line on the kettle and close the lid. Boil the water and
discard it. Repeat this step two or three times.
5. The kettle is now ready for use.
PREPARING THE FILTER CARTRIDGE
1. Wash your hands thoroughly before proceeding with
the next steps.
2. Remove the cartridge from the bag (fig. A).
3. Immerse the cartridge in a container full of cold water
for about 15 minutes (fig. B). Agitate the cartridge to
eliminate the air in it.
4. Put the cartridge into the tank and press gently to
insert it correctly (fig. C).
5. Fill the hopper with cold tap water up to the MAX
level (marked on the tank) and leave it to filter without
closing the lid (fig. D).
6. Discard the water filtered in the previous step (or use it
to water your plants).
7. Repeat this procedure (steps 5 and 6) 3 times.
