Recording
In the default setting, movies are recorded with high definition image quality (HD) on the
following media.
HDR-CX550/CX550V: Internal memory
HDR-XR550/XR550V: Internal hard disk

• To change the recording media, see page 21.
Fasten the grip belt.
Open the LCD screen of your camcorder.
Your camcorder is turned Oll and the lens cover is opened.
• To turn on your camcorder when the LCD screen is already open, press POWER (p. 18).
• _u can switch recording modes by pressing MODE. Press MODE to light up the desired recording
mode lamp.
