LED flashes red
Power supply fault.
Depending on the fault detected, the LED will flash rapidly one to four times and will then
go out for one second. The flash sequence will then repeat.
LED flashes once
Residual current detected between charging system and vehicle:
If no damage is found:
If the fault occurs again:
LED flashes twice
Unsuitable socket – voltage too low:
If the fault occurs again:
LED flashes three times
Unsuitable socket – voltage too high:
If the fault occurs again:
LED flashes four times
Impermissible drop in voltage under load:
If the fault occurs again:
Disconnect the charging system from the mains supply and the vehicle.
Check the adapter and the cable between the operating unit and the vehicle for
external damage.
Check the adapter used and the vehicle socket for dirt or water ingress.
Reconnect the charging system.
Do not use the charging system any longer and contact Mercedes-Benz Customer
Services.
Have the vehicle checked at a qualified specialist workshop.
Disconnect the charging system from the mains supply and the vehicle.
Reconnect the charging system.
Have the socket checked by an electrician.
Use another socket.
Disconnect the charging system from the mains supply and the vehicle.
Reconnect the charging system.
Have the socket checked by an electrician.
Use another socket.
Disconnect the charging system from the mains supply and the vehicle.
Reconnect the charging system.
Have the socket checked by an electrician.
Use another socket.
