9.1 Drinking water systems
Hygiene
Grundfos pressure booster systems are functionally
tested by running water through the system. During
testing, Grundfos continuously surveys the quality of
the tested water. Since it is not possible to
completely drain and dry the system after the test,
the system must be rinsed or flushed thoroughly
before use in the drinking water sector due to risk of
bacterial growth. This also applies if the system has
been shut down for a long period of time. Rinsing
and flushing must always be done in accordance
with local regulations. Contaminated drinking water
endangers health.
