For a good cutting result, the jaws of the Saw
Blade Guide 8 should be as close as possible
to the Saw Blade 9 without clamping the saw
blade. To adjust the distance to the thickness of
the saw blade, you can adjust a jaw on the saw
blade guide.
1. Insert the Hex Key 19 into the Saw Blade
Guide Adjustment Opening 17 in the base
plate (Fig. 6).
2. Turn the hex key as indicated by the marking
next to the adjustment opening (clockwise
to shorten the distance, counterclockwise to
increase the distance from the blade).
Make sure that the saw blade can still turn freely.
Anti-Splinter Insert
(Fig. 7)
To minimize splintering of the top surface of
the material being cut, place the JA1013 anti-
splinter insert 20 in the blade opening of the
Footplate 6.
Note: This insert will only work with blades
that have ground sides such as T301CD, T101B,
T101D, and T101DP.
