4. The device struts may be bent to achieve a better fit. Place the device
on a tabletop with one strut protruding off the edge. Apply downward
pressure to bend the strut.
5. Form the cuffs to optimize the fit around the upper and forearm (Fig. 4).
6. Adjusting Cuff strap length:
– Beginning with buckles closest to the elbow, secure buckles and
fasten and tighten straps (Fig. 5).
– Straps may be trimmed if necessary (Fig. 6).
7. To adjust Range-Of-Motion Hinge (D), pull the flexion (white) or
extension (black) button and rotate around hinge until center of
button is pointing at desired angle and release (Fig. 7).
8. (Optional) Place Range-Of-Motion (ROM) Stop-Locks (E) over flexion
and extension buttons to limit ROM adjustment (Fig. 8).
Shoulder Strap Application
9. Position the Shoulder Strap (F) over the patient's shoulder and attach
the strap clasp with D-Ring to the loop in the forearm paddle (Fig. 9).
10. Position the shoulder strap across the back and under the injured
arm. Attach the clasp to the D-Ring (Fig. 10).
11. Adjust the length of the Shoulder Strap and reposition the strap pad
until the forearm is held at the proper elevation and the neck and
forearm are held at a comfortable position (Fig. 11). Trim the strap to
the appropriate length, if needed.
Device Adjustments
Drop-Lock Adjustment
To prevent Range-of-Motion, lock the device by sliding the Blue Drop-
Lock (G) toward the center of the hinge after positioning the arm at the
appropriate angle as marked by blue lines on the hinge (Fig. 12).

Cleaning and care
• Remove pads and straps and wash separately.
• Hand-wash using mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.
• Air dry.
Note: Do not machine-wash, tumble dry, iron, bleach, or wash with fabric
softener.
Note: Avoid contact with salt water or chlorinated water. In case of
contact, rinse with fresh water and air dry.
Note: Do not immerse hinge and uprights in water.
