TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Cause Correction
Automatic transfer switch does I. Generator breaker open. I. Reset generator circuit breaker.
not transfer to generator 2. Generator voltage not acceptable. 2. Refer to generator manual.
I. Service disconnect breaker open. I. Reset service disconnect breaker.
Automatic transfer switch does
2. Utility voltage not acceptable. 2. Wait for utility voltage to return
not transfer to utility to normal.
Generator is still running after Engine cool down period. Engine should stop after I minute.
switch transfers to utility power
NC contacts not operating correctly.
Supervised loads (air conditioner,
etc.) are not operating when
utility is present
Check NC contact for proper
operation and/or check control wiring
to external load.
