Brush cutter transport
Carry the brush cutter only when the engine is off.
Before moving it, stop the engine and wait for the
cutting accessories to stop completely.
Always transport the equipment when the engine is
cold and without fuel. This prevents petrol leaks during
transport.
Always fasten the machine when transporting it and
install the blade protection.
Before operating
Make sure that the machine is used only by who is
familiar with the instruction manual.
Check fuel system tightness, particularly visible
parts such as tank, tank cap, flexible hose
connections, and manual carburetor fuel pump. In the
event of leakage or damage, do not start the
combustion engine and have the machine repaired by
an official dealer.
Pay attention to the area where the device will be used
and check for obstacles (rocks, tree stumps, roots,
trenches, etc.), objects (coiled wires, metal parts) or
loose stones. Not being possible to remove these
objects or obstacles, mark them so that they do not
come into contact with the cutting accessories when
using the machine.
Before starting:
▪ Carry out an inspection to ensure that the unit is
properly assembled and that safety issues and
performance are being addressed;
▪ Check if the spark plug cap (connector) is connected
to the spark plug;
▪ Check if the safety devices are in good conditions and
working properly. Never use the equipment if the
safety devices are missing, damaged or worn out;
▪ Check that the shoulder harness strap and fastening
accessories are in good condition and properly
assembled;
▪ Replace damaged parts, as all other worn ones;
37
▪ After assembling the accessories and before using
the device, you must run a test in maximum speed at
no load for a certain time. Check for misalignments in
the moving parts or any other condition that may
affect the operation of the power tool. Check that all
moving parts rotate smoothly and without unusual
noises;
▪ Perform all the necessary adjustments to the correct
assembly of the machine and if you have any
questions or problems, contact your ITOOLS official
dealer;
▪ Observe the local regulations on the hours when it is
allowed to use tools with a combustion engine and
the permitted noise level.
While operating
Keep third parties away from the operating area -
at least 15m away. Never work while animals or
people, particularly children, are at risk. During the
operation particles can be projected at a high speed
that can cause injuries.
Keep the safety distance from objects (vehicles and
glasses) to avoid property damage.
When working two or more persons simultaneously in
the same area, safety distances must be maintained to
prevent accidents and injuries.
Work only in daylight or with good artificial lighting. Do
not use the power tool at night or when it is not possible
to have a clear view of the work area.
Never work with the brush cutter when adverse
metrological conditions such as dense fog, rain or strong
wind, storms or lightning.
During operation, walk forward step by step and
observe the area of the blade or the nylon cutting-line
head.
While using the power tool, move to a stable position
and keep balance. Do not use the tool in slippery,
irregular or unstable surfaces, or in a lumpy ground.
Keep yourself and clothing away from the cutting
accessories.
Always use personal protective clothing and equipment.
The use of face shields and goggles, dust masks, hearing
protection, anti-slip safety shoes, long-sleeved shirts,
gloves, helmets and knees guards, on the appropriate
conditions, reduces the risk of injury.
