Keep petrol away from sparks, flames, heat sources or other
ignition sources. Do not smoke near petrol jerry cans and
appliances with petrol on the tank, or during the fuelling
process.
Refill and empty the fuel tank outdoors only. Before
refuelling, shut of the engine and let it cool down.
Petrol fuelling shall be carried out before running the
combustion engine. While the engine is running, it is not
permitted to open the tank cap or refuel.
Do not overfill the fuel tank. In order to allow space for fuel
to expand, never add fuel above the lower edge of the filler
neck. Please also observe the information in the
combustion engine operating instructions.
If petrol overflows, immediately clean any spilled fuel. The
combustion engine should only be started after the dirty
petrol surface has been cleaned. Any attempt at ignition
shall be avoided until the petrol vapors have volatilized (dry
with cloth).
If petrol was spilled over clothing, it must be changed.
Always wear resistant shoes with non-slip sole that
completely covers the foot. Never work barefoot or wearing
sandals, for example.
When carrying out maintenance and cleaning work,
changing accessories and transporting the tiller, always
wear tight-fit gloves.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Clothing worn during
the machine operation must be adequate, tight and closed,
for example, a work boiler suit. Do not wear scarves, ties,
necklaces or other similar tight-fit clothing.
Keep hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. The
rotating parts can touch or drag the hair or clothes,
resulting in serious injury.
Do not transport the tiller while the combustion engine is
running. Before moving it, stop the engine, wait for the tines
to stop completely and remove the spark plug cap.
Always transport the equipment when the engine is cold
and without fuel.
The tiller should always be moved by two people. Use
loading ramps, lifting devices.
For safety reasons, it is not permitted to exceed an angle of
inclination of 15° during transport and loading, especially
when using loading ramps.
Protect the tiller and its parts carried with straps, cables,
etc. Never transport the tiller with loose parts.
Carry the machine with a suitable trailer or on a suitable
loading surface, and not in the passenger compartment
(e.g. trunk) of a vehicle.
When transporting the machine, in force regional
legislation must be respected, in particular that concerning
the load being transported and the transport of objects on
loading surfaces.
Before each use, check the condition and oil level
(15W40) in the air filter cup.
Check the leak tightness of the fuel system,
particularly visible parts such as tank, tank cap and
couplings. In the event of leakage or damage, do not start
the combustion engine. Have the petrol tiller repaired by an
official dealer.
Make sure that the tiller is only used by people who are
familiar with the instruction manual.
Before operating the tiller, replace damaged and worn-out
parts.
