Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense 1when using a power tool. Do not use a power tool
-
when you are tired OR under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment's inattention when using
power tools can result in serious injury.
Use personal protective equipment. Always wear safety goggles. Protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-
-
slip safety shoes, a helmet or hearing protection used in appropriate conditions will reduce personal injury.
Prevent unintentional starting. Make sure the switch is in the off position before connecting to the power source,
-
picking up or transporting the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or powering power tools
with the switch on may cause accidents.
Remove any adjusting key or spanner before switching on the power tool. A spanner OR spanner left attached to
-
a rotating part of the power tool can cause personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep a firm footing and good balance at all times. This makes it easier to control the power
-
tool in unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothes and gloves away from moving
-
parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair can be caught by moving parts.
If devices have been provided to connect the extraction and dust collection systems, make sure they are connected
-
and used correctly. The use of dust collection can reduce the risks associated with dust.
Use and maintenance of the power tool
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the
-
job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled by
-
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the power tool plug from the power source before making adjustments, changing accessories or
-
storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of the tool power supply being switched on
accidentally.
Store unused power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool
-
or these instructions to operate the power tool. Electric tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other
-
condition that may affect the power tool operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before using it.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools are less likely to bind and are easier to
-
control.
Use the power tool, accessories and tools etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the
-
working conditions and the work to be carried out. Using the power tool for operations other than those intended
may lead to a dangerous situation.
Service
Have your power tool repaired by a qualified repairer using only identical spare parts. This will ensure that the
-
safety of the power tool is maintained.
Storage
Use the transport protection during transport and storage.
-
Cleaning and maintenance before storage
-
Securing the unit during transport to avoid fuel loss, damage or injury
