Adjusting the length of the mast
The pole saw has a telescopic mast that extends from 1.8 metres (fully retracted) to 2.7 metres (fully extended). The
clamp with a locking button is used to hold the pole in position at any extended length.
1. To extend the pole, loosen the locking knob (see figure 7). The pole will slide freely.
2. Pull the inner pole section to the desired extended length. Note: only extend the pole to the minimum length
required to reach the limb being cut.
3. To lock the pole, tighten the locking knob (see figure 7).
Cutting with the chainsaw
1. The pole saw's fuel tank is full.
2. Connect the power cord to the power supply.
3. Use both hands to grip the pole saw. Use the grip areas and strap indicated when using the pole saw (see Figure
8). Use a firm grip. Thumbs and fingers should wrap around the handle and pole of the pole saw.
4. Make sure your footing is firm. Keep your feet apart. Divide your weight evenly between both feet.
