the vehicle body, we recommend wrapping the harness with a suitable
abrasion-resistant tape before attaching it.
Assembly procedure
Keep the battery disconnected during installation.
When dismantling and refitting individual parts, follow the instructions in the ŠKODA
Workshop Manual.
Place the vehicle on the workshop jack arms.
Remove the following:
- Rear bumper (dirt traps, if fitted)
- Crossmember
- Tailgate lock latch cover
- Left side panel in the boot (seen in the direction of travel)
- If included in the equipment, remove the plastic rear wall cover.
Caution! Prior to the towbar installation, the SCR tank (for diesel
vehicles) or AKF tank (for petrol engines), located under the right rear
plastic wheel cover, must be removed.
Caution! After removing the crossmember, apply an anti-corrosion
agent at the points of contact of the crossmember with vehicle body.
After treating the vehicle body with anti-corrosion protection, re-install
