electrical connection

2.2.5 Electrical connection
The respective local regulations are to be
complied with.
- Take note of the rating plate. The
stated voltage must conform with the
supply voltage.
- All electrical connection and installation
work is to be performed in accordance
with IEE regulations and the regulations
of the competent power supply
company.
- The appliance must be able to be
disconnected from the mains with an
isolating distance of at least 3 mm on all
poles via a supplementary device.
Contactors, fuses and suchlike can be
installed for this.
- The circuitry and the connection of the
heat storage unit can be found in the
circuit diagram provided in these
installation instructions (Fig. 10).
- The charging component (heating
element) is connected to AC 230 V via
a two-rate meter. The heating elements
are designed for a line voltage of 230 V
and are connected in parallel.
- The feeder must be strain-relieved and
should be connected in accordance
with the circuit diagram.
Important!
Ensure without fail that the PE conductor
is correctly connected!
2.3 Placing in operation
2.3.1 Check according to IEE Regulations
The following tests are to be carried out
by a professional electrician:
- dielectric test with a voltage of min.
500 V (magneto inductor / isolation
MΩ
resistance min. 0,5
)
- the measurement of the nominal
power consumption. (A cold resistance
measurement can be carried out as an
alternative )
2.3.2 Initial charging
Initial charging takes place manually using
a suitable setting of the charge
thermostat. A slight smell can occur the
first three times the heat storage unit is
charged. Because of this, the room should
be extensively aired during and after the
first three charges. The initial charge in a
bedroom should not take place when
sleeping.
