1.5 Locating faults
If the heat storage unit surface does not
heat up:
- Check whether the selector knob on
the right-hand side of the appliance is in
the max. position and re-adjust if
necessary (set to a higher value).
- Check whether the fuses have tripped
and replace if necessary.
- Check whether the residual-current-
operated circuit breaker has tripped
and reset if necessary.
If the heat storage unit surface becomes
too hot during mild weather:
- Check whether the selector knob on
the right-hand side of the appliance is in
the max. position and re-adjust if
necessary (set to a lower value).
If after doing this the heat storage unit still
has not heated up by the following day, or
the temperature of the heat storage unit
casing is extremely high even during mild
weather, have the appliance checked
immediately by a professional electrician.
Similarly, if the residual-current-operated
circuit-breaker has tripped more than
once, or the fuse blows more than once,
a professional electrician should be called
in.
