ASSEMBLING THE GUIDE BAR
AND CHAIN
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Position the chain saw on its side on
a firm, flat surface, so that the side
cover is facing upwards.
3. Wear gloves. Remove the side
cover by turning the two lock nuts
counterclockwise with the included
multi-wrench (Fig. 9).
4. In order to prevent the chain from
being too tight and unable to be
installed, turn the chain-tensioning
bolt counterclockwise with the flat
end of the included multi-wrench to
loosen the chain.
5. Lay the saw chain in a loop on a flat
surface and straighten any kinks
(Fig. 10).
6. Place the chain drive links into the
guide bar groove. Position the chain
so there is a loop at the back of the
guide bar (Fig. 11a).
7. Hold the chain in position on the
guide bar and place the loop around
the drive sprocket of the saw.
