MAINTENANCE
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance can be carried out by the user. It involves
a series of simple operations that enable the fan coil to work
efficiently.
Interventions:
- External cleaning, to be carried out weekly with a damp cloth
(dipped in water maximum 40°C) and neutral soap; do not
use other detergents and solvents of any type.
- Do not spray water onto the outer or inner surfaces of the fan
coil, as this might cause short circuits.
- Cleaning of the filter ever y for tnight, or weekly
in the case of installation in ver y dusty places.
Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or with water and
neutral detergent; do not use other detergents and solvents
of any type.
- Visually inspect the condition of the fan coil every time
maintenance is carried out; any anomaly must be reported to
the After Sales Service.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Little outlet air
The unit doesn't heat
The unit doesn't cool
The fan doesn't turn
Condensation forms on the
external unit structure
For any problems not listed, contact the After Sales Service immediately.
PROBABLE CAUSE
Incorrect speed setting on the control panel
Clogged filter
Obstructed air flow (inlet and/or outlet)
No hot water
Incorrect control panel setting
Water T > 90°C
No cold water
Incorrect control panel setting
No electricity
The water doesn't reach the operating tempera-
ture
The temperature and humidity limits specified
in "MINIMUM AVERAGE WATER TEMPERATURE"
have been reached
EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
Extraordinary maintenance must only be carried out by
Aermec After Sales Service centres, or by technicians with
the technical and professional requisites for the installation,
transformation, extension and maintenance of the systems,
and able to check the systems with regards safety and
correct operation. For the electrical connections in particular,
checks relating to the following aspects are required:
- Measurement of the electrical system insulation resistance.
- Continuity of the protection wires.
Extraordinary maintenance consists of a series of complex
operations that involve the disassembly of the fan coil or its
components, to restore its optimum working efficiency.
Interventions:
- Internal cleaning, once a year or before long periods of non-
use. In rooms where a high level of air cleaning is requested,
cleaning can be carried out more often. It involves cleaning
the coil, fan fins, tray, and all parts in contact with the treated
air.
- Repairs and fine tuning; when faults arise, refer to the
" TROUBLESHOOTING" chapter of this manual before
contacting the After Sales Service.
SOLUTION
Select the correct speed on the control
panel
Clean strainer
Remove the obstruction
Check the boiler
Check the heat pump
Set the control panel correctly
Reduce the water temperature, then
disconnect the unit from the power
supply and reconnect it again
Check the chiller
Set the control panel
Check that there is electricity
Check the boiler or chiller, and/or check its
setting
Raise the water temperature above the
minimum limits specified in "MINIMUM
AVERAGE WATER TEMPERATURE"
