4 Installing Dräger Interlock XT
WARNING
!
Alterations and additions to the Dräger Interlock XT may
cause dangers.
Such alterations and additions invalidate the certificate of
installation contained in this instructions for use booklet.
The installation may only be carried out by an authorised Dräger
Interlock Service Center or a professional auto repair shop according
to the respective instructions for installation.
By choosing the place of installation, the existing regulations for the
interior of vehicles have to be observed.
4.1 Installation mode
CAUTION
!
The unit is supplied in an installation mode. In this mode, the
unit's immobilizer is not yet enabled. The vehicle's engine can
be started after the unit is installed without a breath sample
being given. In order to commission the unit fully, this mode
has to be disabled according to the following description:

Ignition for a new test
Alternatively, the installation mode can also be ended using the "New
Breath Test" menu item (see page 25).
Installing Dräger Interlock XT
The display changes every
5 seconds.
First press ▲ then ▼M
together.
Hold the buttons down for
5 seconds.
Select "Start Test" and
press "OK".
The Dräger Interlock XT
is enabled.
Turn the key to the "Ignition"
position to request a new
breath test.
