• The use of non-original accessories or incompatible with the equipment could cause

•Be sure to reduce the audio output level to minimum before using an earphone or a
headset. Excessive audio may damage hearing.
• Do not open the unit. Unauthorized modification or repair may result in electric shock, fire

• Do not operate this transceiver in wet place o high humidity areas, such as shower room
and swimming pools. It may result in electric shock, fire and/or malfunction.
• Do not place conductive materials, such as water or metal in close proximity to the

• Do not touch the heatsink as it may become very hot during and /after the transmission.
• Use only a power supply of correct voltage and current.
• Do not connect cables in reverse polarity. It may result in electric shock, fire and/or
malfunction.
• Do not modify or remove fuse-assembly from the DC-cable. It may result in fire, electric
shock and/or damage to the transceiver.
• Do not use the transceiver if a strange sound, smoke and or strange odors, when the
transceiver is dropped and damaged, when a liquid penetrated inside, when a power-cord
is damaged. Contact with the Technical Service for checking and/or repair.
• Turn off the transceiver and remove the antenna if a thunderstorm is likely.
• Do not use the transceiver in proximity to a TV or a radio. It may cause interference in
these devices.
• Do not install in a humid, dusty or insufficiently ventilated place.
• Do not install the transceiver in an unstable or vibrating surface.
• Do not install the transceiver in proximity to a source of heat and humidity, or in direct
sunlight.
• Turn off and remove the power-source when the transceiver is not in use for extended
period of time.
• Always turn off the power supply when connecting or disconnecting the power cables.
• When installing the transceiver as a fixed station, make sure that the antenna ground is
not common with the ground of the power supply.
5.- INSTALLATION:
MOBILE INSTALLATION:
The transceiver may be installed in any position in your vehicle, where the controls and
microphone are easily accessible and it does not interfere with the safe operation of the
vehicle. If your vehicle is equipped with airbags, be sure that the transceiver will not
interfere with their deployment. If you are uncertain about where to install the transceiver,
contact your distributor or vehicle's dealer.
