Overload Indicator
Lights
up
when
peaks
in the sound
output
level of either
channel
is excessively
reaching an overload level, thus alert-
ing distortion
or possibility of damaging the speaker. If this
indicator is activated you should decrease the sound output
by rotating the volume
control
counterclockwise
to a Posi-
tion where the indicator does not light.

TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE
The following guide is intended as an aid in correcting problems en-
countered
when
setting
up the stereo system.
Although
the sug-
gested remedy
might seem
quite elementary, it may
be sufficient
to make corrections without returning amplifier to your dealer.

con-
nected
to powered
outlet having 220V
50 Hz AC.
Check
speaker
cables for loose or open
connection.
Check Tape Monitor switch
for proper selection.
Lift tone arm. If the noise stops, the pro-
blem probably originates in the cartridge
or associated wiring. Repair or replace.
Connect 'separate

Sead
to the
amplifier GND terminal.
Be sure phono cable plugs are fully in-
serted
in amplifier jacks. Move
phono
cables
around
while
listening to reveal
an intermittent or broken shielded lead.
Repair or replace. Connect ground wire
as noted above.
Check
cables
and connections.
Reverse
