USING A TAPE DECK
TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE
The following guide is intended as an aid in correcting problems en-
countered when setting up the stereo system. Although the sug-
gested remedy might seem quite elementary, it may be sufficient
to make corrections without returning amplifier to your dealer.

PROBLEM
Amplifier inoperative

SUGGESTED REMEDY
Be sure power plug is properly con-
nected to powered outlet having 220V
50 Hz AC.
Check speaker cables for loose or open
connection. Check Tape Monitor switch
for proper selection.
Lift tone arm. If the noise stops, the pro-
blem probably originates in the cartridge
or associated wiring. Repair or replace.
Connect 'separate ground Sead to the
amplifier GND terminal.
Be sure phono cable plugs are fully in-
serted in amplifier jacks. Move phono
cables around while listening to reveal
an intermittent or broken shielded lead.
Repair or replace. Connect ground wire
as noted above.
Check cables and connections. Reverse
amplifier power plug. Reverse associated
equipment's power plug.
