3 – INSTALLATION
3.1 – SENSORS INSTALLATION
(1) – Find the most suitable positions.
45 to 55cm from the ground is the ideal height for mounting the
sensors.
Note: Don't install the sensors too close to exaust pipes.
(2) Sensors fixing and position.
A - Ensure that there is enough space for the complete sensor
housing and drill holes with the GTPSTOOLS accessory (see photo
on the side).
B - Drill the bumper with a 8 mm tip diameter to insert the screw C
(see figure 1).
C - Insert the Part B inside the bumper, put the part A to the
bumper outside (see figure 2).
D - Insert the bolt while holding the C and Part A screw until the
parts A and B are up against the bumper (see figure 3).
E - Using a ratchet wrench tighten the screw C to drill the bumper
(see figure 4 and 5).
F - Insert the sensors into the drilled holes in the bumper, paying
attention to point them upwards (see instructions on the back of
the bracket). Before fastening them definitively, check if also the
adhesive thickness of 1 mm needs to be applied.
WARNING: if the GTPSTOOLS is not used drill holes with a drill bit
or a diameter of 18,1 mm (see figure 6).
3.2 – CONTROL UNIT POSITION AND BUZZER.
(1) Find a protected and waterproof location inside the rear luggage
compartment of the vehicle and fix temporarily the control unit.
(2) Find a suitable location inside the driver and passenger
compartment and fix the buzzer temporarily.
3.3 – CONNECTION OF CABLES.
(1) Connect the sensors to the control unit and make sure that they
are connected correctly.
(2) Connect the buzzer to the control unit.
(3) Identify the power supply wires of the reversing light.
(4) Connect the power supply wires from the control unit to the
positive and negative power supply wires of the vehicle reversing
lights. Solder an isolate all connections with insulating tape.
(5) The negative wire of the control unit can be screwed to the
metal work using a suitable ring terminal.
