9 – INFORMATION ON THE PRODUCT DISPOSAL
Following to the entry into force of the WEEE directives, about the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in
electrical and electronic equipments and also the waste disposal", the consumer has:
- The obligation not to dispose of this product with household waste and to make a separate collection at the
municipal collection points, since it falls under the electrical and electronic equipment waste.
- The obligation to report the presence on board of a device containing a removable battery in case of vehicle
recycling / end-of-life and not to dispose of it as urban waste, since it is to be collected separately in order to avoid
environmental damage.
- The ability to return the equipment to the distributor when purchasing a new one, provided that the same is of
equivalent type and has fulfilled the same functions of the new equipment supplied.
- To know that an incorrect disposal of the abovementioned equipments can result in the contamination of soil and
water, with consequent fallout on the human health. The symbol indicated on the packaging, depicting a barred
garbage container on wheels, shows the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipments.
- To know that the manufacturer, the distributor and the consumer are punished with fines in case of unlawful
disposal of this waste, according to the regulations in force.
