6.1 Assembling the shock absorber
Preliminary work
–
Raise the motorcycle using lift stand (see Owner's Manual/repair manual).
–
Take off the seat (see owner's manual/repair manual).
–
Remove the frame protector (see Owner's Manual/repair manual).
–
Remove the main silencer (see Owner's/repair manual).
–
Remove the shock absorber (see Owner's Manual/repair manual).
–
Remove the spring (see repair manual).
–
Dismantle the damper (see repair manual).
Assembly
–
Clamp the piston rod in a vise.
Info
Use soft jaws.
