4.3 Working environment
• DANGER – Any operation of the device in explo-
sive environments is strictly prohibited!
• WARNING – Do not operate the device in the
immediate vicinity of flammable materials, as they
could ignite from flying sparks.
• WARNING – Do not use the device for vacuuming
dust off people or animals!
• Keep your hands, hair, feet and loose-fitting
clothing away from the suction components of the
device and/or additionally cover these.
• Do not use the vacuuming component near your
head.
• Avoid physical contact with grounded surfaces
like radiators or tubes.
• Use suitable and undamaged extension cords only.
• Wear non-skid work boots.
• Ensure secure footing (good ground contact and
balance) for yourself and the device, and avoid
working too far overhead, as you might lose your
balance.
• WARNING – Read the data sheets provided by
the material manufacturers of the materials to
be vacuumed. The device must not be operated
if spontaneously combustible or explosive dusts
and/or liquids are generated, as a spark strike
could have fatal consequences.
• WARNING – When operating the device in
hazardous areas (e.g. petrol stations or similar),
relevant applicable safety regulations must be
adhered to.
• Ensure that your workplace is ventilated and
well-lit at all times to prevent accidents.
• Ensure that there are no other persons at your
workplace or that there is a sufficient safety dis-
tance between you and the next person.
• Do not expose any part of the device to caustic
media (e.g. chemicals) or excessive heat (above
60 °C). Do not operate the device outdoors or in
temperatures below 0° Celsius.

5.3 Commissioning
Caution! The mains plug must be disconnected
from the mains socket and not reconnected while
any of the tasks described below are being carried
out!
5.3.1 Removing the device and accessories
from the packaging
a. Remove all device accessories and the indus-
trial vacuum cleaner from the packaging.
5.3.2 Assembly of the device including acces-
sories
Attention! The suction nozzles (K and L)
and suction pipes (J) are connected to the
elbow joint (H) via a tight-sealing cone. Take care
not to crush your fingers. Pull the components for
disassembly. The elbow joint (H) and the rotatable
suction hose adapter are connected to the suction
hose (E) via clip system and are delivered
pre-assembled (see page *5*). Please read
Chapter 5.2 – Main components, connection and
operating elements.
• Remove the container clip provided (C 05) from
within the dust container and attach it to the lower
area on the front of the container (see page *8* –
Illustration 9a. and 9b.).
5.3.2.1 Assembly of the casters and chassis
• Press the rotatable front wheels over the knurled
cover areas of their rotating axes into the bore
holes provided in the plastic chassis (see page *8*
– Illustration 10a. and 10b.).
5.3.2.2 Assembly of the suction hose
Caution! The suction nozzles provided and
depicted on page *4* are intended for use
exclusively with the MENZER industrial vacuum
cleaner VCM 330. The suction hose (E) with the
elbow joint (H), the suction tubes (J) and the
suction nozzles can be combined as shown on
page *4*. Please note the notes regarding the use
of the functional accessories in the following text.
Notes on the use of the functional accessories:
G – Universal tool adapter
H – Elbow joint for receiving the suction tube (J)
and/or the suction nozzles (K and L)
J – Suction tubes for extending the work range of
the device
K – Floor nozzle wet/dry with casters for level
areas

5.4 Safety devices - dust class M
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a warning
device that reacts to negative pressure. If the air
speed drops below 20 m/s, the signal light (see
page *2* -
M
01) lights up permanently and the
system must be cleaned (see chapter 6.5).
• CAUTION – If the system can no longer be
cleaned, i.e. the signal light
(M
01) remains lit after
cleaning, the fleece filter bag (see chapter 6.3)
must be replaced.
If the warning light

01) still lights up after clean-
ing the filter and/or replacing the fleece filter bag,
check whether larger foreign bodies are blocking
the hose or the intake socket.
If this is not successful either, the main filter ele-
ment is no longer functional and must be cleaned
professionally / replaced (see chapter 6.4).
• ATTENTION – Do not use the unit when the warn-

tection against harmful dusts can be guaranteed.
