1� Remove the stopper on the lanyard side
of the winch to free the access hole to the
clutch release latch.
2. Turn the crank handle to bring the clutch
release latch opposite the access hole.
3� Tilt the clutch release latch until the drum is
free to rotate.
 Adjust the cable to the required length.
To install the cable, see the manual supplied with
the Tracpode PRO devices.
IMPORTANT: After adjusting the cable
length, return the clutch release latch to its
original position and check that the drum is
locked.
 The winch is ready for use.
6. Use
DANGER: The presence of a second
operator nearby is essential to carry out a
possible evacuation.
The rescue operations must have been
studied beforehand in order to define the
human and material resources to be used
to rescue the injured person in less than
15 minutes. After that time, the operator is
in danger.
Throughout the rescue phase, there must
be direct or indirect visual contact or other
means of communication between the
rescuer and other persons involved in the
rescue.
For rescue operations, the use of a
comfortable harness EN 813 (type
Promast™, Transport, Emergency) or
a harness equipped with an EN 1497
emergency shoulder strap is recommended.
6.1. Blocfor R EVO
For information on installing and using the
Blocfor R EVO accessory on the Tracpode PRO,
please refer to the manual supplied with the
Tracpode PRO.

such, please refer to the manual supplied with
the Blocfor R EVO.
6.2. caRol R PRO, caRol R TS and
caRol Duratech
To use the caRol accessories on the Tracpode
PRO, proceed as follows:
Using the caRol R PRO and caRol R TS
winches for rescue lifting
1) Attach the cable connector to an anchor
point marked A or to two anchor points
marked A/2 on the full body harness of the
person to be recovered.
2) Turn the crank handle clockwise to lift the
person up.
3) Put the person down by turning the crank
anticlockwise.
 Person recovered.
IMPORTANT: It is strictly prohibited to
recover a person downwards using a caRol R
PRO winch.
IMPORTANT: During rescue operations
involving an operator, the winch may only be
used for these rescue operations and may not
be used in load lifting.
Using the caRol R PRO, caRol R TS and
caRol Duratech winches in load lifting.
1) Secure the cable hook to an anchor point
on the load to be lifted.
2) Turn the crank handle clockwise to lift the
load.
3) Turn the crank handle anticlockwise to
lower or put down the load.
 Load handled.
IMPORTANT: Before lifting or lowering a
load, it is essential that there are no obstacles
in the path of the load and that the area under
the load is safe.
DANGER: Any load lifting operation with a
caRol winch is forbidden in combination with a
rescue operation involving an operator by lifting
or rope access.
