A1.5 PuliMATIC operation
PuliMATIC carries out the filtration of the water from the outside to the inside of the filtering cartridge. It
is a self cleaning filter electronically managed that starts the cleaning of the filtering cartridge and the
discharge of impurities from the bowl in a completely automatic way and at preset intervals. PuliMATIC,
thanks to its patented brushing+discharge system ensure an effective cleaning of the filtering cartridge too.
The cleaning operation is started automatically once the preset time has elapsed: the cleaning cycle involves
the complete brushing of the cartridge. The automatic open of the discharge valve (placed on the bottom
of the bowl) creates a tangential high speed flow that removes impurities accumulated in the filter bowl.
The PuliMATIC filters are available in two versions:
1. with short backwashing interval: the waiting time between two consecutive cleaning cycles is
adjustable and it can be set to 2 or 4 or 6 or 8 hours;
2. with long backwashing interval: the waiting time between two consecutive cleaning cycles is
adjustable and it can be set 12 or 24 or 36 or 48 hours.

Thanks to a switch system (Dual In-Line Package) it is possible to modify the waiting time between
two consecutive cleaning cycles. PuliMATIC is equipped with a voltage free contact activated in advance
with respect to the backwashing cycle starting. This signal, anticipated with respect to the backwashing
cycle starting, can be used to manage auxiliary equipment (e.g. solenoid valves, pumps, alarms, etc...) The
D.I.P. switch system allows to set the forewarning time with respect to the backwashing cycle starting (0 or
30 or 60 or 100 seconds).
The water consumption for one cycle is about 16 liters (referred to a 3 bar pressure).
