8 Cleaning and maintenance work for the user
To ensure long product life and scan accuracy, it is necessary to regularly clean and calibrate the
product.
8.1
Recalibration
– The calibration plate must not be cleaned. Touching the reference points located on the
calibration plate can cause the calibration accuracy to decrease.
– Make sure that the reference points of the calibration plate are not damaged as otherwise
calibration is no longer possible.
– In case of a malfunction that cannot be resolved by restarting the scanner or workstation,
contact your customer support.
To guarantee consistent scan results, we recommend you calibrate the scanner on a weekly basis
using the supplied calibration plate.
The scanner should also be calibrated after transportation or if the scanner is moved. Instructions
for recalibrating your scanner can be found in our PrograScan software manual. Initiate the scan
process using the software and follow the instructions step by step. If you are unsure, please
contact our customer support.

of the scanner's potential dangers.
– Stop the scanner and disconnect it from the power supply for the duration of the cleaning.
– Vacuum or wipe the scanner with a dry cloth.
