Equipment

•
The standard equipment includes the machine and all parts to close RENZ RING WIRE
2:1 pitch from 3/16" to 1 1/2".
•
Adjustment device to easily adjust the binding diameter and additional fine adjustment.
•
A safety switch helps to avoid injuries.

General information

•
Please read this manual very carefully before operating the ECL 360/500/700. Make sure
that each operator is familiar with the machine and the safety procedures.

Safety precautions

•
Please follow all pertinent safety procedures of your employer's liability insurance carrier
and supervising authorities for the use of this type of machine.
•
Never put your hands or fingers in the closing area !
•
There is danger of squeezing (crushing of fingers) at the closing mechanism.
•
To help avoid injuries, the machine is equipped with a safety guard.
•
At contact, the safety guard stops the machine immediately and returns it to the starting
position.
Danger
•
This safety device does not guarantee accident-free operation ! Careful and prudent
method of operation will help to avoid dangerous situations.
•
Do not remove the covers from the machine. Maintenance and repair jobs must only be
made by the manufacturer or authorized dealers.

10 Intended purpose

•
The ECL 360/500/700 is a closing machine for RENZ RING WIRE
purposes is not allowed. Each operator has to be familiar with all safety regulations and the intended purpose of
the machine.

11 Installation of the machine

•
Do not install the machine in hazardous or humid locations. Humidity must not be higher than 80% and
temperature not higher than 35°C (96°F).
•
Life the machine out of the box with both hands and place it on a solid location. Do not lift the machine by the
two hand wheels !
•
Caution: Do not damage any electrical cords when placing the machine in its final location !
Check to be certain that you have received he following items:
•

power cord and plug
•
foot pedal

12 Electrical connection

•
When making the electrical connection, check that the power supply matches the voltage indicated on the
identification plate of the machine.
• Place the foot pedal on the floor
• Insert the power cord first into the square socket on the right side of the machine.
• Plug the main power cord into the wall socket.
• Switch on the main switch located on the right side of the machine. The machine is now ready for operation.
• Make sure that there is nothing under the closing bars. Do not put your fingers under the closing bar.
• Press the foot pedal to start a binding cycle.
