Prior to assembly, certain components
require lubrication in clean oil. Refer to
Table 5 for details.
NOTE
If a primer is used with threadlocker,
curing time is greatly reduced.

Pump tube

NOTE
Refer to Fig. 3, page 11 for a section
view of pump tube.
1 Place ball (13) into piston (15).
NOTE
If ball stop was separated from coupling,
skip Assembly, Step 2.
2 Screw and seat ball stop (10) with
medium strength threadlocker into
coupling (9). Tighten securely.
3 Install washer (11) and spring (12) onto
ball stop.
4 Position lock washer (14) into groove on
piston.
5 Screw coupling into piston. Tighten from
Table 5
19 to 21 ft.lbf (25.4 to 28.3 Nm).
Continue to tighten and align nearest flat
of coupling with tabs on lock washer as
necessary.

NOTE
Press on ball (13) to make sure it moves
a minimum of
ball stop. Should value be less, verify
ball stop is fully seated in coupling.

6 Bend tabs of lock washer upward onto
coupling.
7 Screw primer rod (28) into piston until
pin holes align.
8 Install pin (27).
NOTE
Use a spot of grease on all pins to
prevent movement.
9 Screw rod (8) into coupling (9) until pin
holes align.
10 Install pin (7).
11 Screw coupling (5), end without
counterbore, onto rod until pin
holes align.
12 Install additional pin (7).
13 Secure air motor in a soft-jaw vise.
14 Screw coupling onto air motor rod until
pin holes align.
15 Install pin (6).
