The CHASING USBL KIT is a set of kit components customized to help users equip the
CHASING M2 PRO with a USBL positioning module. The kit can be used with a docking
station and an adapter box (or a control console) to implement precise underwater
positioning of the ROV. The USBL positioning system uses the transmitter to send acoustic
wave signals and the receiver to receive acoustic wave signals based on the triangulation
principle, to measure the coordinates of an ROV.

Installation and connection
On the transmitter side:
1. Make sure that the ROV is powered off. Rotate the free handle for the anchor ear on the
transmitter assembly counterclockwise to a loose state. Then, on the transmitter of the
ROV Locator, pass the connection cable for the transmitter through the center hole of
the buoyancy material, as shown in the figure. Then, put the transmitter into the anchor
ear. Ensure that the anchor ear exactly clamps the blue end housing of the transmitter.
Then, rotate the free handle for the anchor ear clockwise to the locked state.

2. Take the transmitter assembly equipped with the transmitter and install it on the
docking station by using four spare M3x8 screws. ① Connect the connection cable for
the transmitter to the universal 4-pin port of the docking station. ② Connect the "ROV"
port of the docking station to the upper port on the ROV by using the tether. The upper
port is next to the SD card slot. ③ Connect the "RC" port of the docking station to the
"ROV" port on the right side of the adapter box. ④ Fasten the docking station on the
ROV. For more information about the steps, see the user manual of the docking
station. The transmitter is installed on the ROV.

On the receiver side:

3. Rotate the free handle for the anchor ear on the receiver assembly counterclockwise to
a loose state. Then, put the receiver of the ROV Locator into the anchor ear, as shown in

Connect the connection cable for the receiver to the lower port on the control cabin.
4. ① Take the connection cable assembly, plug the upper
connector for connecting to the control cabin into the upper
port on the control cabin. The upper connector is labeled with
"Connect to the control cabin."
② Plug the other connector
into the "USBL" port on the
left side of the adapter box.
Power on the ROV. After the
ROV starts, you can perform
operations on the ROV. In
addition, you can use the
USBL underwater positioning
feature on the app after you
download the offline map
from the help menu on the
app.
