For your own and other people safety, follow the "safety
regulations" indicated in section 3 carefully
4.1
Machine Packaging
The original packaging has been designed to protect the
machine during shipping. We recommend keeping the
packaging carton for possible future transportation.
4.2
installation instructions
Before installing the machine, read the following safety
instructions carefully:
• Place the machine in a safe place;
• Make sure children cannot play with the machine;
• Do not place the machine on hot surfaces or near open
flames.
The coffee machine is now ready to be connected to the
power supply.
4.3
Machine Connection
electric power may be very dangerous! it is
therefore necessary that the safety regulations
are strictly observed. Do not use faulty power cords!
Faulty cords and plugs must be replaced immediately
in authorized customer service centres.
The voltage of the appliance has been pre-set by the ma-
nufacturer. Check that the voltage matches the indication
on the label, at the bottom of the appliance.
• (Fig. 1) - Check that the power button (11) is turned to "0"
before connecting the machine to the power supply.
• Insert the plug into the socket on the back of the
machine.
• Insert the plug of the other end of the cable into a wall
socket with suitable power voltage.

Water tank
• (Fig. 3) - Remove the cover (7) from the water tank.
• (Fig. 4) - Remove the water tank (8) using the built-in
handle.
• (Fig. 5) - Rinse and fill it with fresh drinking water, taking
care not to overfill.
• (Fig. 6) - Reinsert the tank into its seat and reposition the
cover previously removed.
the tank must be correctly repositioned; check
that it perfectly adheres to the machine and that
it is inserted into its seat.
Fill the tank only with fresh, non-sparkling, drinking

water. Hot water or any other liquid may damage the
tank. Do not switch on the machine with empty tank:
make sure there is enough water in the tank.
4.5
Priming the Water Circuit
Before starting up the machine, after a long inactivity and
when all the water has been dispensed, the machine's
water circuit must be primed.
• (Fig. 10) - Make sure that dispensing knob is in the central
position.
• (Fig. 11) - Switch on the machine by turning the power
button to "I" position. The "green" indicator (14) will
flash.
• (Fig. 17) - Make sure that the capsule compartment is
closed.
• (Fig. 12) - Place a container below the hot water wand.
• (Fig. 13) - Turn the dispensing knob anticlockwise.
• Wait until a steady jet of water flows out from the hot water
wand.
• (Fig. 10) - To stop dispensing turn the dispensing knob to
the central position. Remove the container.
When the water circuit priming is complete, the machine
performs a warming phase until the right temperature is
reached.
The machine is now ready to brew coffee and dispense
hot water. Please see related sections for operating
details.

4.6
Drip tray Adjustment
The height of the drip tray can be adjusted according to
the cup size.
• (Fig. 7) - Pull the lever located under the drip tray sup-
port.
While pulling the lever, raise or lower the drip tray until
the desired height is reached.
• When the right height is reached, release the lever.
For example:
• (Fig. 8) - Perfect position for espresso cups.
• (Fig. 9) - Perfect position for long coffee (American)
cups.
