3. Remove the milk tank by pressing the side button and pulling it out. Add the milk into the
tank by removing the cover and respecting the MIN and MAX markings. Close the cover
and reinsert the milk tank.
4. Press the Cappuccino icon.
5. If you press the Cappuccino icon (120 ml milk and 50 ml coffee), Latte macchiato icon (220
ml milk and 50 ml coffee) or any of the other icons, preparation stops automatically.
Note: if you want to stop the coffee preparation process, press the coffee icon on the display
again.
Note: be careful when removing the pod as it is hot and may contain traces of water.
Note: remember to always use cold whole milk.
Using the steamer. Fig. 4
1. Remove the steamer from the side panel.
2. Align the steamer insertion hole on the right-hand side of the appliance (the milk tank and
the steamer share the same insertion hole). Then, insert the steamer all the way in and
make sure it sits securely, otherwise it could fall out.
3. Place a jug with milk or a large cup under the steamer. Press the Milk frothing/Steamer
icon on the display, the appliance will start preheating (the corresponding indicator light
will light up). Preheating time is approximately 15 seconds. After this time, the appliance
will start to release steam. The temperature of the milk can be controlled by the user
(normally, the longer the duration, the higher the temperature of the milk and the higher
the number of bubbles).
4. Press the Milk frothing/Steamer icon again to stop frothing before preparing coffee. To
prepare coffee, follow the steps explained above in the "Coffee preparation" section.
3.1 Tips on milk-based preparations
Cappuccino
- Cappuccino is a milky coffee covered with a thick layer of milk froth.
- Serving quantity: 50 ml coffee + 120 ml milk froth
- Recommended pods: Ristretto or Espresso pods
- Recommended cup: Cappuccino cup (Capacity: more than 170 ml - Height: less than 11 cm)
Latte Macchiato
- Latte macchiato is coffee poured into a glass filled with milk froth. It is characterised by
two layers of coffee froth.
- Serving quantity: 50 ml coffee + 220 ml milk froth
- Recommended pods: Ristretto or Espresso pods
- Recommended cup: Glass (Capacity: over 270 ml - Height: less than 11 cm)
