Press the Milk frothing/Steamer icon and the system will use this water to clean the
system and remove any remaining milk residue.
7.
Use the time necessary to see that the water coming out of the milk spout comes out
clean.
8.
Refill the glass or container with clean water to flush the system of any remaining debris.
9.
Disconnect the milk tank.
10.
Dry all parts with a clean cloth or towel and replace them.
Disassembling the milk tank
1.
Remove the silicone tube from the milk tank.
2.
Remove the metal milk frother from the milk tank.
3.
Press the side button on the top of the tank with one hand and hold the connector with the
other hand and pull it outwards.
4.
Clean the connector with a small precision brush and rinse the parts.
5.
Reconnect all components by following the above steps in reverse.
Disassembling the steamer
1.
Remove the stainless steel housing from the steamer by turning it counterclockwise and
pulling it out.
2.
Turn the black inner part in the unlocking direction and remove it.
Descaling

When the appliance needs descaling the corresponding indicator light will flash. It will
light up when the coffee machine has brewed 50 litres of coffee or the frother has been
used for 5000 seconds.

To start the descaling process, follow the steps below:
1.
Turn on the coffee machine. When it has reached the right temperature, it will enter
standby mode.
2.
Fill up the water tank with water and a descaler following the proportions indicated by the
descaler manufacturer.
3.
Press the cleaning/water icon for 5 seconds to start the process.
4.
The Espresso icon (small cup) will light up. Press to start the first phase of the descaling
process.
5.
The coffee machine will start pumping water. The Espresso icon (small cup) will switch off.
6.
When the first phase is finished, a beep sounds and the Lungo (medium cup) icon lights up.
Take out the water tank, clean it and fill it with clean water again.
7.
Press to start the second phase of the descaling process.
8.
The coffee machine will start pumping water. The Lungo coffee icon (medium cup) will
switch off.
9.
When the second phase is completed, a beep sounds and the machine can now operate
normally.
