3.3 Resetting to factory settings
1. Turn on the coffee machine. When it has reached the right temperature, it will enter
standby mode.
2. Press and hold the Espresso (small cup) and Lungo (medium cup) icons at the same time
for 5 seconds.
3. Two beeps will sound. The 6 drinks will flash rapidly for 5 seconds, indicating that the
factory settings have been successfully reset.
3.4 Energy saving
This function will be activated if 9 minutes pass without any operation.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
After each use of the milk system, a quick cleaning of the system is strongly recommended.
The use of milk leaves a lot of dried milk residues and can cause problems in the frothing of the
milk as well as being hazardous to health.
Quick cleaning of the milk system
1. After each use, remove the milk tank from the machine and remove only the transparent
part of the milk tank.
2. Reconnect the upper part of the milk tank to the appliance, you will notice that the milk
suction tube is hanging down. Insert this tube into a glass or container with clean water.
3. Press the Milk frothing/Steamer icon and the system will use this water to clean the
system and remove any remaining milk residue.
4. Use the time necessary to see that the water coming out of the milk spout comes out
clean.
5. Remove the upper part of the milk tank from the appliance and join it with the transparent
lower part. You can store this tank in the refrigerator.
Deep cleaning of the milk system
1. Remove the milk tank. Remove all milk residues with hot water (40 °C).
2. Remove all visible dirt with a non-abrasive sponge.
3. Soak all components in hot water (40 °C) containing mild soap for at least 30 minutes.
4. Clean the inside of the milk tank, the milk spout connector, and the milk regulator with
mild soap. Rinse all parts with hot water (40 ºC). Make sure that the air inlet is clean.
This will produce perfect milk froth. Do not use abrasive material which may damage the
surface of the appliance.
5. Reconnect the upper part of the milk tank to the appliance, you will notice that the milk
suction tube is hanging down. This tube should be placed in a glass or container with
clean water and degreaser/soft soap.
