KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Read all instructions before operating pro-
duct. Failure to follow any and all instructions listed
below may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General safety warnings for power tools.
ATTENTION! Read all warnings and safety instruc-
tions. Failure to follow the warnings and instruc-
tions listed below may result in electric shock, fire,
and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for later reference. The
term used in the warnings below refers to the mains (corded) power
tool.
2.1 WORK AREA SAFETY
a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Clutter or poor lighting in
work areas can lead to accidents.
b. Do not use the power tool in an environment with a risk of
explosion, in which liquid fuels, gases or powdery material
are present. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite powdery
materials or vapors.
c. Keep children and other people away from the work area
when using the power tool. A distraction can cause you to lose
control of your tool.
2.2 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a. The plug of the power tool must correspond to the outlet
used. It is not permissible to modify the plug in any way. Do
not use adapters on power tools equipped with a ground plug.
Unmodified plugs matching the respective outlet reduce the risk of
electric shock.
b. Prevent your body from touching grounded parts such as
pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. The risk of being
exposed to electric shock is greater if your body is in contact with
ground.
c. Do not expose power tools to rain and prevent liquids from
getting inside them. There is a danger of receiving an electric
shock if certain liquids enter the power tool.
d. Take care of the electrical cable. Do not use the power cord
to carry or hang the power tool, or pull on it to remove the
plug from the outlet. Keep power cord away from heat, oil,
sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or entangled electrical
cords can cause electrical shock.
e. When working with the power tool outdoors, use only
extension cords approved for outdoor use. Using an extension
cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f. If using a power tool in a wet location is unavoidable, use
a supply protected by a residual current device (RCD). Using a
residual current device reduces the risk of electric shock.
NOTE: The term "Residual Current Device" may be substituted
for the term "Circuit Ground Fault Interrupter" or "Ground Leakage
Circuit Breaker".
2.3 PERSONAL SAFETY
a. Watch what you are doing and use the power tool carefu-
lly. Do not use the power tool if you are tired, or after consuming
alcohol, drugs or medication. Failure to pay attention while using a
power tool can result in serious injury.
b. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye, res-
piratory and hearing protection. Protective equipment such as a
dust mask, safety shoes with non-slip soles, a hard hat, or hearing
protectors, used properly, help reduce personal injury.
c. Avoid unintentional start-up. Make sure the switch is in
the off position before connecting to power source or battery,
picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your
finger on the switch or plugging them in with the switch on can
lead to accidents.
