When leaning on one end:
- First cut a third up to avoid splintering and then cut down to avoid
the same problem.
When on slope:
- Always stand uphill.
When using sawhorse:
Whenever possible, its use is strongly recommended.
7. MAINTENANCE
Always keep the guards, ventilation slots and motor housing as
clean as possible by removing dust and dirt with a clean cloth and
blowing them out with low pressure air. Excessive accumulation of
metal dust can cause electrical current to flow from internal parts
to external metal parts.
Regular maintenance ensures a long effective life of the tool. We re-
commend that you perform the following checks on a regular basis:
7.1 OIL LEVEL
The reservoir level should not be allowed to fall below one fourth
of its total.
7.2 SAW CHAIN AND GUIDE BAR
- After a few hours of use, remove the chain and guide bar and clean
them thoroughly.
- During assembly, the guide bar must be rotated 180º and the gear
wheel must be greased through the lubrication hole. This ensures an
even distribution of wear around the guide bar rails.
7.3 CHANGING WORN CHAINS
- Use only original spare parts, find your spare parts at your nearest
dealer.
7.4 CHAIN SHARPENING
The teeth will chip immediately if they hit the ground or hit a nail
while being cut.
- Place the trunk in a stable position. Always cut on the outside of
the sawhorse arms.
Use clamps or straps to secure the workpiece.
When you want to cut a log on the ground, secure the workpiece
with wedges. The user or bystanders must not stabilize the trunk
by sitting on it. Make sure that the chainsaw does not come into
contact with the ground.
7.5 SAW CHAIN TENSION
Periodically check the chain tension.
7.6 WHAT TO DO IF THE CHAINSAW NEEDS REPAIR
The chainsaw complies with safety requirements: repairs must
be carried out by qualified personnel, using original spare parts;
Otherwise, considerable danger could be caused to the user. We
recommend that you keep this manual in a safe place.
IMPORTANT! To ensure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, re-
pairs, maintenance, and adjustments should be performed by au-
thorized service centers or other qualified service organizations,
always using identical replacement parts.
